Professional Bio

Dr. Mehta attended Mysore University, Karnataka, India, where he earned his medical degree in 1994. Followed by Diploma in Otolaryngology in 1996 from Bangalore University. He then went on to finish his residency training in United Kingdom from South Trent Otolaryngology Program, Nottingham in 2005. He completed a Pediatric Otolaryngology Fellowship at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and Medical Center; Cincinnati, Ohio in 2007. He then joined the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he served as Associate Professor and Director of Pediatric Aerodigestive program until 2015. Dr. Mehta joined Texas Children's Hospital in 2015, as Director of the Aerodigestive Center and is appointed Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology at Baylor College of Medicine. He is known for his expertise in Pediatric Otolaryngology specially in Airway and Swallowing disorders, he has been Invited Speaker in various National and International meetings. As an academician has published over 100 research articles and a cofounder of Csurgeries (a web based surgical education site). He has held various leadership positions nationally in the American Academy of Otolaryngology, American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology and also a former president of Society of Ear Nose and Throat advances in Children (SENTAC).
