Professor Catherine Birman has extensive cochlear implantation experience. She is the Medical Director of NextSense cochlear implant program. She has published and presented internationally on cochlear implant outcomes and clinical trials. She was awarded the NSW Premier’s Woman of the Year Award (2017), the ASOHNS medal (2018), and an OAM.
